1830 Nagele Quarter Hour Repeater 18k

Rare Nagele ¼ hour repeater thin gents pocket watch from about 1830. 46mm 18 karat yellow gold hinged back and bezel case with engraved back. 15 jewel gilt early lepine style movement with steel escape wheel and pallet fork lever escapement. White glass enamel dial with black roman numerals and yellow Breguet moon style hands. Key wind and set from back through dust cover and hidden plunger for the repeat function in the pendant. Dust cover signed “Nagele Palais Royal 158”. Very early use of the lever escapement as most watches of this period had cylinder escapements. Very nice and possibly original key included.
